My Surprise Online Baby Shower for My Little Man

A Heartwarming Surprise: Celebrating Baby Micah with an Incredible Virtual Italian Baby Shower from My Blogging Family

Today started with an uncharacteristic early wake-up call, driven by the ambition to tackle a blog post before the house stirred. For those who know me, this isn’t my usual routine; I’m typically one to savor every precious minute of sleep, especially with baby Micah’s arrival drawing near. However, that planned blog post quickly faded into oblivion when I realized I had woken up to something truly extraordinary: a surprise virtual baby shower, meticulously organized by my wonderful friends Julie, Sandy, and Liz! To say I was overwhelmed with emotion and completely floored by their thoughtfulness would be a massive understatement.

Just look at those adorable little lions! Aren’t they the cutest? This entire event was a pure testament to the incredible bonds forged within the blogging world.

The Power of Community: Friendships Forged Through Blogging

I often say this, but it truly bears repeating: one of the most cherished aspects of my years in blogging has been the extraordinary people I’ve come to know, both virtually and in real life. Each friendship nurtured through this platform holds a profoundly special place in my heart. This vibrant, supportive community consistently fills me up in countless ways, and I am incredibly honored and humbled to be a part of it. Today, this surprise virtual baby shower feels like the biggest, warmest hug imaginable, and I am so deeply touched by the outpouring of love and generosity.

My amazing hosts, Julie, Sandy, and Liz, poured their hearts into orchestrating this unforgettable event. Their dedication to bringing together nearly 40 of my closest blogging companions for an Italian-themed celebration for baby Micah was nothing short of spectacular. Every single person involved went above and beyond, crafting an exquisite menu brimming with Italian appetizers, refreshing drinks, vibrant salads, hearty main dishes, and decadent desserts. As someone who absolutely adores all things Italian cuisine, this menu not only rocks my world but also makes my expectant mama heart (and stomach!) incredibly happy and hungry!

This same incredible group of friends also surprised me just last month at my real-life baby shower luncheon, which my local friends so lovingly hosted. I was overjoyed that Julie was able to attend, going so far as to change her flight home from a conference just to make it in time! She arrived bearing a truly generous gift from this very same virtual community: a substantial Target gift card dedicated to all of Micah’s baby needs. Let’s just say, thanks to their incredible generosity, I think we have diapers covered for at least the next year, if not more! This dual celebration, both in person and online, has made me feel incredibly cherished and supported during this special time.

Overwhelmed with Gratitude for My Blogging Family

To all my dear friends, I simply cannot thank you enough for everything. I am truly feeling the love, and I cannot wait to tell little Micah all about this amazing virtual baby shower and the wonderful people who celebrated him when he arrives. You all truly know how to make a mama, soon-to-be of three, feel incredibly special and loved. My family and I are overflowing with appreciation for all the kind words, thoughtful well wishes, and, of course, all the amazing food ideas!

And to Julie, Sandy, and Liz… you girls are undeniably the absolute best! My heart is full of love and appreciation for each of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. xoxo
